Tiny Toes is a baby play and baby sensory centre in the middle of Horsforth. Conveniently located but tucked away down an alley, the centre offers a large play area for toddlers and a slightly smaller play area for babies.
I went with some NCT friends earlier this week and was very impressed. We set up camp on the sofas near the entrance and ordered some food and some coffee – clearly we had our priorities straight, getting the sustenance sorted before letting the babies play!
Pete, one of the owners of Tiny Toes, makes amazing homemade pizzas in a stone baked pizza oven. You wouldn’t have thought there’d be a stone pizza oven in the small kitchen at Tiny Toes but there is!
The pizzas were really nice, especially the bolognese pizza. I also tasted the chicken and pesto pizza, which was very good. The coffee is also nice at Tiny Toes and, although I didn’t personally sample it, I’m reliably informed by my NCT friends that the red velvet cake is exceptional!
As for the play area, I can’t speak from personal experience because my little one decided to sleep for the whole duration of our trip, so we stayed lounging on the sofas! The babies who did stay awake for the experience seemed to enjoy the play area, although there is perhaps more to do for slightly older little ones (the slides and ball pit were particularly popular with the energetic toddlers running around).
If you’re looking for a baby sensory centre in North Leeds and don’t want to trek out to Idle to try out Wiggles, Tiny Toes is a really good option. Just make sure you go there at lunchtime and order the bolognese pizza!
