This week on Great British Menu, the three chefs representing the Central region battle it out for the chance to appear at the WI banquet. Here’s what we might be able to expect this week:
- Pip Lacey is an exciting chef who has spent much of her career working alongside Angela Hartnett. We were lucky enough to be able to grab a few words with Pip last week and you can read what she had to say here. Pip has taken inspiration from her grandmother in designing her menu for this week.
- Richard Bainbridge cooks contemporary English food with classic techniques. Expect big flavours from Richard this week, underpinned by classic cooking processes, some of which were learned whilst he was working alongside the Roux brothers.
- Jason Hodnett is Head Chef at the Raven Hotel. We spoke to him last week and it’s clear that his passion for food is a big part of what makes him tick as a chef. Expect Jason to combine fantastic food with an interesting and very personal take on the WI brief.
