Eat well whilst doing good this week in Leeds

Eating food + helping a good cause at the same time is a pretty unbeatable combination.

This week in Leeds, there are two golden opportunities to do just that, at Pieminister and MOD Pizza.

Here’s everything you need to know about both:

Pieminister

This one’s simple: donate to Shelter this Friday and receive a pie from the Duncan Street Pieminister. Hundreds of Pieminister’s Classic pies that have previously been frozen to avoid wastage will be up for grabs, and every penny will go straight to charity. It’s set to make for a refreshing change from the usual rather unpleasant ethos of Black Friday, so pop down to help support a good cause if you live nearby.

MOD Pizza

MOD Pizza, meanwhile, are celebrating Spreading MODness this week, with the company donating £1 of every pizza purchased across all of its restaurants in the UK (Brighton, Leeds, Newcastle) and the U.S. to a local charity partner. In Leeds, the ‘MOD Squad’ as they like to call their staff are teaming up with Cash For Kids to celebrate one of the key aspects of spreading MODness: “Gratitude with Attitude”. This year, the company expects to donate over $250,000 to charity, so get involved if you can.
