Leeds food news: Money savings galore this January

50% off at Arts Cafe

January is full of decent money-saving offers in Leeds. The likes of Blackhouse offer 50% off at this time of year, the Black Swan offers 2 for 1, but perhaps the best option for Leeds foodies in the know is to head to Arts Cafe, where you can also enjoy 50% off your bill. Their offer runs from Sunday to Friday.

Love it or hate it at Bill’s

Bill’s in town have teamed up with Marmite to brighten up Britain’s breakfasts with a secret breakfast offering. There will be an indulgent Marmite Rarebit, Marmite Mary and Virgin Marmite Mary available to any customer who uses the code ‘Spread the Love’ between the 9th and 31st of January.

To make life even tastier for Marmite fans, all customers who order from the menu will be one of the first in the country to take home an all-new 8g ‘Mini-Mite’ pot.

The Gin Garden opens for Leeds gin lovers

The Gin Garden at The New Ellington has launched ‘Gin Club’. The club will allow members to enjoy a lifetime 15% discount on selected gins whenever they flash their card at the bar.

Andy Preston, resident gin connoisseur at The Gin Garden says, ‘Gin is such a versatile spirit, you can have a lot of fun finding the perfect blend of botanicals and flavours. We are at the height of a Ginaissance and we want to offer people the chance to come and discover their favourite G&T mix with us’.

£10 off at Jamie’s Italian

In our experience, Jamie’s is one of the better child-friendly chains in Leeds and this January you can get a tenner off your bill, so head down to the city centre, order yourself a plate of piled-high spaghetti, and forget about the dreary weather outside for an hour or two.

Tip for the month…

The latest foodie offering from Alison White is now open, with a second branch of the Cat’s Pyjamas fully open on Eastgate, nice and close to the new(ish) Victoria Gate. Offering the same excellent food as the Headingley Cats and with a slick, spacious bar area for beers and bhajis post-work, this is well worth checking out this month.
