Trunki ToddlePak: Keeping toddling little ones safe

The market for toddler reins is fairly crowded, with backpack reins, wrist straps, and many other ideas introduced to help parents let little ones toddle safely as they begin to find their feet in the wider world. It goes without saying that finding the right option can be very tricky. Therefore, when we were given the opportunity to try out some Trunki ToddlePaks, we were excited to see how they would work out.

At home, we already have a LittleLife toddler backpack option, which is going to be great when she is slightly older and has better balance, but for now has the tendency to drag her backwards and over! For now, all we really want is to be able to know our little girl is secure on the end of the reins and we also want them to be hassle-free. The Trunki ToddlePak ticks both boxes.

So, what exactly makes the ToddlePak different to other reins out there on the market? Well, the fact that the attachment does not go around the wrist but attaches around the body makes it far more secure and more comfortable for the little one. The option of having two different rein lengths is also fantastic, but most importantly, the reins are easy to adjust, simple to put on, and quick to adjust until you’re happy they’re secure.

Our little girl can walk confidently but is reluctant at the moment to hold a hand or always follow the direction we’re heading in. The ToddlePak has allowed us to help her continue develop her walking but in a manner that is safe when used in the training mode. Because the reins themselves clip off the pack, you also avoid having to take the whole thing on and off repeatedly, so your child can be fitted in it before you even start your journey.

Finally, unlike some of the other rein sets available, the ToddlePak doesn’t affect your child’s centre of gravity, so they won’t feel restricted even when you’re having to rein them in! This is especially good for younger toddlers.
