Homage2Fromage, Leeds’ first and only restaurant dedicated to the glory of cheese, will be serving its last exceptional mac and cheese, its last melting fondue, and its last piping hot cheesy pizza on Saturday 16th April, as the successful pop-up comes to an end.
Nick Copland and Vickie Rogerson had teamed up with Jones Bar Group to create the pop-up at LAB bar in the Arena Quarter of Leeds last year. The project was a huge success, with thousands of customers becoming loyal fans thanks to the quality of the product and the friendly, knowledgeable service from the staff.
Homage2Fromage Cheese Café is now on the hunt to bring the successful concept into a permanent home, something it very much deserves.
Vickie Rogerson said: “We’ve had a brie-lliant time over the last six months and learnt one very important thing…the people of Leeds really love cheese! We’ve been overwhelmed by everyone’s enthusiastic cheese-eating support and we hope we can open a new restaurant in the city soon.”
Nick Copland added: “We went into this process having never run a restaurant before, and not knowing whether anyone would even come, so we’re proud to have created a restaurant that was so popular. To thank everyone, we’re going out with a bang with a big Cheese Party on 16th April. Tickets available soon.”
The Cheese Cafe and Bar will close on Saturday 16th April with a ticketed Cheese Feast party. To get a last taste of its cheesy delights, bookings are being taken up until the 16th April, by emailing [email protected].
We wish them the best of luck in the hunt for their new home!
