Since opening almost three years ago, The Alchemist has done pretty well for itself. In fact, it has served an average of 1.3 cocktails per minute since opening its doors to Leeds punters and this weekend hit a new high point: creating its millionth cocktail.
Never content with letting an opportunity for a celebration pass them by, the generous folk at The Alchemist had been anticipating this milestone for a while, and had a bottle of Louis XIII cognac, worth £2,000, to hand over to the person who ordered said cocktail.
The lucky recipients were Carl and Natalie Knowles from right here in Leeds, whose order of a Kir Royale earned them the widely envied bottle of cognac.
Here’s to many more nights of boozy fun in The Alchemist in Leeds over the next year, and here’s to the next million cocktails!
