Picking a location for Valentine’s Day dinner could be make or break if you’re trying to woo a new love or show your existing other half that you can still find that romantic spark!
Here are our top five picks for impressing this Valentine’s Day in Leeds.
Malmaison
Whilst the food here is pretty amazing, especially given this year’s Valentine’s menu includes the chance to share either an 8-bone rack of West Country lamb or a hot shellfish platter, the real bonus is the fact that if you’re organised, you can grab a stunning meal and then go and relax with a bottle of fizz in a lovely hotel room.
A main course might set you back £70 as a couple, but for £235 you can book a room, get a bottle of fizz, £60 per person towards dinner, and a full breakfast. This might not be the cheapest option but it sure would be a tasty and romantic one!

Kendells Bistro
Proclaiming itself to be the place to find the most romantic experience in Leeds is a big statement. However, Kendells is offering a wonderful French-inspired set menu for Valentine’s 2017, which will no doubt show your partner that you are both a romantic and have great taste in food!
The entire set menu, coming in at £49.50 per person, is not cheap, but it sounds fabulous, especially the côte de boeuf dish suitable for two people sharing.

Art’s Cafe
Located on Call Lane, which gives you the option to hit the town after eating, Art’s Cafe offers some pretty amazing food (see our full review here) and a relaxed atmosphere.
With three courses coming in at £35, and the menu offering a wonderful seared venison haunch steak & venison ‘toad in the hole’ amongst other options, this trendy location is bound to be popular next Tuesday.

Zucco
This gem of a restaurant in the heart of Meanwood not only draws in people from the north of Leeds but is also well worth a visit if you live in the city centre. Offering authentic Italian dishes that are tapas-style and perfect to share, the traditional (and notso traditional) puddings here are what will make you come back time and again. A definite winner if your partner loves Italian food done well.

Amalthea Greek Bistro
Another great option for those of you based in the north of Leeds is Amalthea. With BYOB as well as Valentine’s celebrations spread over the weekend before, Amalthea is a great option for this year’s Valentine’s.
The set menu is inspired by the Greek islands, and the Corfu sea bass bourdeto sounds particularly good. You can also choose to order off the a la carte menu, which is always a bonus.
