Christmas 2015 may be well and truly over, but there’s no need to bring an end to the winter fun in Leeds, especially when the Ice Cube returns to Millennium Square.
For those who haven’t sampled the delights of Ice Cube in Leeds before, you’ll find a real ice outdoor rink with accessible skating for skaters of all abilities, plus a nursery rink for little ones aged 8 years and under. For those for whom ice is a no-no, there’s also a wide range of fun rides and a tempting cafe from the good folks at Casa Mia to help you warm up.
Another highlight is the snow slide, a 40m long dry slope slide that takes you from the lofty heights of Leeds back down to the action in Millenium Square courtesy of a large rubber ring.
The ice rink is open between 10am and 7.45pm (6.30pm Sunday) Saturday, Sunday and during half term, and between 12.30pm and 7.45pm Monday to Friday.
So, if you’re after a fun winter day out in Leeds, head to Millenium Square, particularly if you’re trying to line up activities for half term. Tickets can be booked online in advance, or purchased on the day.
