If you follow the blog, it’ll come as no surprise to you that we love crazy golf!
So, it’s fair to say that we were fairly excited to read about possible plans to create a crazy golf course in London’s Trafalgar Square, with holes designed by creative visionaries including Paul Smith and the late Dame Zaha Hadid.
The plans haven’t quite yet been finalised (a hefty chunk of funding is needed before anything else), but if all goes ahead as hoped, the London Design Festival project will take over the famous area outside the National Gallery for a week in September.
Members of the public will be able to tee-off without paying a penny at the nine-hole course.
Ben Evans, Director of the London Design Festival, said: “We expect Visionary Crazy Golf to be one of the most popular Festival Landmark Projects to date.
“We’re sure it will attract a varied audience, from design aficionados to small children, attracted by the invention, playfulness and creativity of the course”.
Here’s hoping the plans go ahead!
