Leeds Kirkgate Market is handing the opportunity to Yorkshire’s speciality food producers to take up prime position in a brand new food hall. The new food hall is set to open this spring and will bring together meat, fish, game, and other fresh food and premium produce in a consumer-friendly setting.
It could well be an appealing proposition for some of the region’s smaller food and drink producers; Kirkgate Market already brings in a loyal following through the well-established businesses that operate within its historic walls, and the increased footfall in the area that should happen once the new Victoria Gate shopping complex opens simply adds another dimension to this appeal.
Leeds City Council are holding two events this month for anyone keen to find out more. These events will take place within the market itself and will be on Monday 15th February between 5.15pm and 6.30pm and Wednesday 17th February between 7.15am and 9am.
