Since our little girl was born, we’ve reviewed a number of products related to all things baby.

However, there is one product that we haven’t yet reviewed that we actually use everyday.

We were lucky enough to be loaned the Baby Bjorn Babysitter Balance, a rocking baby seat that helps babies develop motor skills and balance, provides entertainment, and is comfortable enough for them to fall asleep in during the day.

The Baby Bjorn Babysitter Balance comes recommended by paediatricians and uses the child’s own movements to rock. This is great because it allows the child to set their own pace and you also don’t need to be constantly worrying about batteries!

The seat is ergonomically designed in such a way that the baby’s weight is distributed evenly too.

There are three different settings: play, rest, and sleep. The sleep position on the Baby Bjorn bouncer reclines the seat, whilst the play position allows the baby to sit upright and engage with their surroundings.

We have a wooden toy add on, also sold by Baby Bjorn, that our little one loves playing with when the chair is in the play position. It’s easy to change the chair to the sleep position when she needs to nod off for a nap during the day.

The Baby Bjorn Babysitter Balance seat is suitable from newborn to around two years of age and our little one seems to get more use out of it the older she gets.

It’s worth saying that the fabrics are washable and the whole thing is very well constructed and seems very sturdy. On the flip side, it’s also lightweight so you can easily transport it and move it around the room.

All in all, if you’re looking for a bouncy seat for your little one we would really recommend the Baby Bjorn Babysitter Balance. It is worth buying one of the toy add ons as it will buy you a spare half hour during the day when your little one can amuse themselves!
