Headingley’s Original Oak Pub Unveils Exciting New Look and Menu

If you’ve been a student in Leeds, you’ll know everything you need to know about the Original Oak pub. The Otley Road pub is an institution amongst students, and it’s famous(infamous?!) beer garden is likely to be stacked to the rafters when the World Cup hits this summer.

Unless you’ve been in recently, you may not know that the Original Oak has reopened with a brand new look following an extensive two-week refurbishment.

The new look Original Oak offers an exciting new food menu for visitors to enjoy, with freshly made stone-baked pizzas, 21 day aged steaks, mouth-watering ‘low and slow’ meat and rib options, as well as mix & match tapas including drunken mushrooms, pulled brisket croquettes, and buttermilk boneless chicken pieces.

All of this sits alongside their extensive drinks menu, with craft beers, ales and ciders.

Speaking about the refurbishment, general manager at the Original Oak, Richard Mollit, said: ‘It’s been brilliant seeing the pub come together over the last couple of weeks and we can’t wait to welcome everyone who comes to pay us a visit. We’ve kept the downstairs bar true to its roots, very much retaining the traditional feel and atmosphere, whereas the upstairs Plymouth bar has been completely regenerated, and the team and I are very excited to see our guests’ reactions over the coming days!’
