Three things to do with the kids in Leeds this January

Happy new year from all of us at Leeds Foodie!

To help ease you into 2017, here are three activities to keep you and the kids entertained as we navigate the depths of January:

Beauty and the Beast

You might have seen the movie trailer for this if you’ve been to the cinema over the Christmas period.

By all accounts, it’s set to be one of the biggest hits of 2017 at the cinema, but for now, why not check out the pantomime version at the Carriageworks Theatre? Make sure you book tickets soon because the remaining dates are bound to be popular.

Happily Ever After

This is a really interesting-sounding event aimed at kids and parents. Led by an actor and a musician, a host of fairytale characters will bring to life their tales alongside live music and an atmosphere of magic and fantasy.

It’s taking place at the Howard Assembly Room on Saturday 21st Jan at 10.30am, and with tickets only costing a fiver (£3 for kids), there’s no reason not to put this one in your diary.

The Royal Armouries

With pennies needing to be pinched after festive indulgence and overspending on Christmas presents, the fact that the Royal Armouries is free is a huge, huge boost to parents!

With a gift shop, interesting exhibitions for the whole family, and the chance to learn a  few facts yourself, the Royal Armouries also has the great bonus of being indoors, meaning that you can go whatever the weather this January!

However you choose to spend your January with your kids in Leeds, we hope you have fun!
