To visit the Michelin starred Samling hotel, normally you need to get in a car and get yourself and your fellow lucky diners over to Windermere to experience the stunning views, warm welcome and amazing food. However, for two nights only (23rd and 24th of September) The Samling Head Chef Ian Swainson will be bringing this bit of foodie heaven to the lucky foodies of Yorkshire, and in particular Leeds!
If you need an idea of what we made of The Samling feel free to read about our exquisite afternoon tea here but if you want to experience Ian Swainson’s artistic vision and homage to some of the greatest artists’ styles through the mediums of food and drink then you need to get yourself a ticket to the event at Harvey Nichols and suck up the £75 per person price. Console yourself that you aren’t having to pay the petrol prices to drive up through the Lake District and that you will be able to go back home to your own bed!
I have very kindly been invited down to try out the menu so of course there will be a full review on Leedsfoodie.co.uk after I have been on the 23rd.
