For those of you who live down by the River Aire, you will know all about the great fun and food that hits the riverside during the Leeds Waterfront Festival.
This year, the festival returns, supporting the amazing Jane Tomlinson Appeal. This weekend (the 27th and 28th of June) will see the likes of dragon boat racing, fine independent food and drink being sold, and a really fun family atmosphere hit Thwaite Mills, Leeds New Dock, Brewery Wharf, The Calls, Victoria Wharf and Granary Wharf.
If you are looking for a bit of family fun, good food and perhaps a prize or two (a few years ago Charlotte and I managed to win the most ridiculous cuddly toy pig from one of the many stalls!) then why not pay a visit? If you do decide to head down to enjoy the range of free music, arts and craft events, as well as the food, do let us know how you get on in the comments section below. Alternatively, tweet us with your tips on Twitter so we know what to do if we end up going!
Finally, as we all know, the weather is a bit iffy at the moment, but don’t let that put you off! A fair few areas at the festival will offer shelter from the rain and there is also a water taxi (with a roof!) to help get you between locations.
